Body Work

I use the term body work as sacred medicine because our bodies hold an infinite source of healing. At the same time working with the body in different ways is medicine for the body itself. It is my core belief that many of the ‘diseases’ in the world today come from blockages or stored energy that we carry around in our bodies. Most of it we are not even aware of. This can for example be traumas we carry around from childhood or emotions that we have held back and not been able to release for one reason or other. Keeping our body and mind in a healthy balance can be the key to avoiding many unnecessary challenges. There are many different ways of doing so and here are some of the options and treatments I can help you with.

Your body is your temple. Keep it pure and clean for the soul to reside in.

Yoga

Your body will most likely thank you for being physically active and taking care of it. One of the ways you can do that is by keeping a yoga practice. There are many different kinds of yoga and it can take some time to find the style that suits you the most or to learn which style is for you on a particular day. I teach classic Hatha and Yin yoga and most often keep my yoga classes in the softer end of the spectre. I like to work with slow movements and deep stretches in order to reach those inner blockages we carry around. In the calendar you can see my upcoming yoga events.

Massages

Just like you send a car to the mechanic once in a while our bodies also benefit from a regular treatment of massage. Our body is meant to be used but often we end up using it in ways it was not meant for – like sitting in front of a computer all day long. Whether you feel any direct physical pain in your body or not, your muscles will surely benefit from a massage. In the same way your nervous system will also thank you for giving it a break.

Thai Yoga Massage

In a combination of massage techniques and yoga stretches I work to release tension in and around the joints as well as the muscles. A Thai Yoga Massage can of course not be compared with a yoga session, but you will get some of the same benefits from the stretches as you would in an actual yoga session. This form of treatment is done in a very rythmic way that will bring you into a deep state of relaxation.

Healing Work

When healing work takes place it is not necessarily on the physical body as much as it is on the energetic body. Energy is in us and around us and this too can get stuck in areas of the body. When I work with healing energy sessions I open my channels and let myself be guidet. It is not unlikely that I receive messages to you in one form or the other. I willl of course only share these if you are interested.
